To speak with evidence of its benefits, British researchers (Clinical & Experimental Dermatology, 2012) decided to conduct a large clinical study in animals, which applied only locally and onlywith clay retinoic acid for one and two weeks respectively. The procedure lasted 40 minutes daily. After its use the skin was exposed to steam in order to absorb the components. What did they find? In the first group, compared with the second, in which was not applied clay at all , an increase in the number of collagen fibbers of 50%, happened within a week!
The results were impressive and in a clinical study conducted on 194 people with acne or prone to the problem occurred (Forschende Komplementärmedizin, 2012). Participants applied clay, 2 or 3 times a week for a 1 ½ month, with addition of jojoba oil. After completing the survey, participants had an average of 54% improvement in every form of acne from blackheads to painful cysts.
